What a way to start an incredible summer of music at Newmarket Racecourses with Demi Lovato headlining after racing!
Global superstar Demi Lovato brought her ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ world tour to the Summer Saturday Live stage at Newmarket Racecourses on Saturday, 9th June for her first ever UK racecourse show!
The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer and songwriter released her sixth studio album ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ last year, with lead single ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ quickly being certified double-platinum. With a back catalogue featuring massive hits including ‘Heart Attack’, ‘Confident’, ‘Cool For The Summer’, ‘Give Your Heart A Break’ and timeless juggernaut ‘Skyscraper’, Demi has secured her place as being one of the most revered and respected vocalists of recent times.
Afternoon of horse racing
Before the music started, there was an exciting afternoon of horse racing with six races for the crowd to enjoy!
Even The Jockey Club Live's mascot Frank was enjoying himself! Don't forget, if you had your picture taken with Frank, remember to upload it to Instagram and tag @thejockeyclublive and you could win tickets to see The Vamps in August!
Fantastic warm up
To celebrate the start of our 2018 live music season on the Adnams July Course, renowned Heart FM DJ Toby Anstis warmed up the crowd. A fun filled set had the crowd dancing around the racecourse and in a great mood ready for Demi Lovato to headline!
Incredible headline show
Demi Lovato did not disappoint!
She put on a spectacular headline show with help from her team of dancers. To the delight of her fans, Demi sang some of her older hits, including: Cool For The Summer, Heart Attack and Give Your Heart A Break.
As well as her own music, Demi also treated the Newmarket crowd by performing tracks from her recent collaborations. The highlights of the set were her performances of Solo with Clean Bandit, Echame La Culpa with Luis Fonsi and her most recent release - Fall in Line with Christina Aguilera!
The American pop star also sang a number of songs from her new album. These included: Daddy Issues, Sexy Dirty Love and Top 10 single Sorry Not Sorry. Finishing the set with the song that gave the name to her album and tour, fans sang along with her to Tell Me You Love Me.
